Is the listener forbidden from repeating the Quran with the reciter, and does this relate to the noble verse: "And when the Quran is recited, then listen to it"?

Reading along with the reciter at the same time as he recites contradicts the commanded listening and heeding mentioned in His, the Almighty's, saying: "And when the Qur’an is recited, then listen to it and pay attention that you may receive mercy."
