If there are two funerals at the cemetery, a man's and a woman's, who is buried first, and what is the ruling on prioritizing the burial of the woman over the man?

If a group of people die, and it is possible to bury each deceased person separately, that is the required course of action to expedite the burial. If that is not possible, then priority is given to the one whose body is feared to decompose quickly; otherwise, the one who died earlier is buried first, unless there is an exception. If they are equal in terms of presence, then lots are drawn between them.

If one is compelled to bury two in one grave, the male is given precedence over the female and is placed towards the Qibla. Thus, the son is given precedence over his mother, unless the female was placed first, in which case she should not be removed. It is not permissible to delay the one who was placed first in the niche for the sake of another.
