Is it true that the crime of adultery causes the Throne of the Most Merciful to shake, and is it exclusive to that, or does it include murder and sodomy?

There is no evidence in the Qur’an or Sunnah to suggest that the Throne of the Most Merciful shakes due to sins like fornication and sodomy. It is not permissible to claim such a thing without valid, authentic legal proof. The Throne is a creation subjugated to Allah; it shakes according to His will. Furthermore, there are stronger implications mentioned regarding these abominations than the shaking of the Throne, such as Allah’s intense jealousy and His prohibition of indecencies. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "No one is more jealous than Allah, and for this reason He has forbidden indecencies, both open and secret." He also said: "O community of Muhammad, no one is more jealous than Allah when He sees His male or female servant committing fornication." Sheikh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah explained jealousy as encompassing hatred and wrath.
