What is the name of the book that refutes misconceptions?
The Muslim, at the beginning of their pursuit of knowledge, should first recognize the truth through the texts of the two revelations (Qur'an and ), their correct interpretation, and the inferences of the jurists. They should not occupy themselves with searching for doubts (shubuhat), fearing being influenced by them.
Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah advised that the heart should not be like a sponge, absorbing doubts, but rather like solid glass, through which doubts pass over its surface without settling within it, so that one may see the truth and repel falsehood.
Among the important books of refutations are: the books of Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah and Ibn al-Qayyim, and the fatwas of senior scholars. Among the specialized books are: "Shubuhat Hawla al-Islam" (Doubts Around Islam) by Muhammad Qutb, "Shubuhat al-Nasara Hawla al-Islam" (Doubts of the Christians About Islam) by Walid Kamal Shukr, and "Al-Mufassal fi al-Radd ala Shubuhat A'da al-Islam" (The Detailed Refutation of the Doubts of the Enemies of Islam) by Ali bin Nayif al-Shahud.
