Is it permissible to sell mounted gold to women?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

The Sharia has permitted women to adorn themselves with gold and other ornaments, whether the gold is circular (like rings or bracelets) or non-circular. It is narrated in a Hadith that gold and silk are forbidden to the males of the Ummah, but permissible for their females. Sheikh Ibn Baz reported a consensus on the permissibility of women wearing all types of gold. Since it is permissible for women to adorn themselves with both circular and non-circular gold, selling circular gold to them is also permissible.
