Should a traveler pray the Witr prayer, even a single rak'ah, when shortening and combining prayers?

The traveler is recommended to pray Witr just like the resident. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, prayed Witr both while traveling and while at home. He may pray Witr with a single rak'ah, and this is the view of the majority of scholars. Indeed, praying Witr with one rak'ah is lighter for the traveler and those with excuses, such as the sick.
