Does not Allah accept righteous deeds that benefit Islam and Muslims more than mere remembrance, and are not righteous deeds, diligence, and every relationship with Allah's creatures considered another form of remembrance?

Remembrance (dhikr) has great merit and is among the best deeds. There are hadiths that clarify this. The Mufarridun are those who remember Allah frequently. Dhikr saves one from punishment, and it is the best and purest of deeds, and the most beloved deed to Allah is for a servant to die while their tongue is moist with the remembrance of Allah.

There are other deeds with great merit, such as jihad, prayer, Hajj, and fasting. Scholars have reconciled these hadiths by explaining that the differences in answers stem from the differing circumstances of the questioners.

Remembrance by the tongue is permissible at all times and in all situations, and it does not contradict the performance of other deeds. Rather, Allah has prescribed it alongside prayer, Hajj, jihad, fasting, trade, and zakat.

Dhikr may also refer to righteous deeds and obedience in general. Therefore, a Muslim should always be keen on remembrance by the tongue and on all other deeds, following the guidance of the Prophet (peace be upon him). They should keep their tongue busy with the narrated remembrances, engage their heart in contemplation of Allah's creations, actively work to improve the conditions of Muslims, strive and exert effort, and perform all types of worship seeking the countenance of Allah.
