Is it permissible to hold two Eid al-Adha prayers in one village and in two very close locations, under the pretext that the Prophet (peace be upon him) did not recite the long form of the Takbeer? What is required to be done regarding this, and what is the ruling on the prayer?

Scholars have agreed that Eid prayer should not be multiplied except when there is a need, but they differed on its multiplication without need. What appears is the validity of the prayer with multiplication, as there is no clear evidence for prohibition. No specific formula for the Eid takbir was reported from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. The takbir of Ali and Ibn Mas'ud became famous: "Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, there is no god but Allah, and Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, and to Allah belongs all praise." It was also narrated from Ibn Abbas that he used to say: "Allahu Akbar kabira, Allahu Akbar kabira, Allahu Akbar wa ajall, Allahu Akbar wa lillahi al-hamd." Imam Al-Shafi'i held that any additional remembrance of Allah is good, and he considered a specific addition in "Al-Umm" to be good. If limiting oneself to the takbir reported from Ali and Ibn Mas'ud would unite the word and unify the prayer, then those in charge of the prayer should limit themselves to it. Others should understand that any addition is a matter of ijtihad, in which no one should be condemned for disagreeing.
