What is the ruling on one who works in Christian cemeteries?

A Muslim is forbidden from working in the graveyards of disbelievers for several reasons:

1. Places of torment: These are places of torment that we have been forbidden from entering except in a state of weeping, as happened with the Prophet (peace be upon him) in the dwellings of Thamud, where he ordered the pouring out of water and dough taken from their wells. 2. Presence of abominations: They include crosses which Christians venerate, and a Muslim is commanded to demolish crosses, not to venerate or maintain them. The Prophet (peace be upon him) would not leave anything with crosses in his house without demolishing it. 3. Humiliation for the Muslim: It involves a type of humiliation that a Muslim should not expose himself to.

As for a Muslim burying a disbeliever, it is permissible out of necessity, if there are no disbelievers to bury their dead, but not as a regular job.
