How is the repentance of a woman of the People of the Book from adultery?

It is not permissible to marry a woman from the People of the Book unless she is chaste, based on the verse: "and the chaste women from those who were given the Scripture before you." "Chaste" here means virtuous and pure, and marriage to an unchaste woman is not valid.

Moreover, a Muslim should avoid marrying a woman from the People of the Book and instead marry a righteous Muslim woman, as this is more befitting for a believer. If one intends to marry a woman who has committed fornication, whether she is Muslim or from the People of the Book, it is obligatory to ensure her womb is clear before marriage.
