1 min readAlso available in العربية

A good ending (Husn al-Khatimah) is when a servant is guided before their death to abandon sins, repent from them, and turn to acts of obedience. Among its signs are: uttering the Shahadah (testimony of faith) at the time of death, death with sweat on the forehead, death on the night or day of Friday, death while fighting in the cause of Allah, death from plague, an abdominal disease, collapse (due to a falling structure), or drowning, the death of a woman in her post-partum period because of her child or while pregnant with him, death by burning, pleurisy, or tuberculosis, death while defending one's religion, property, or self, death while guarding the frontiers (ribat) in the cause of Allah, and death while performing a righteous deed.
