What are the means to persuade a father to allow university study and to enjoy some freedom, and how can one deal with his excessive suspicion regarding his daughter's dignity?

Accusing the father of permitting and forbidding things based on whims is a serious accusation, and one must be cautious and deliberate before making it. If the father prefers males over females in matters where the Sharia obligates equality, then this is forbidden. He should be advised gently and reminded of the obligation to be just among his children, and to abandon the forbidden suspicion regarding his daughters' conduct. As for university education, if there are Sharia violations, then his command must be obeyed. But if the matter is free from violations, then he is not permitted to prevent them from studying.
