It is forbidden to sell, buy, or trade the bones of deceased Muslims. They must be buried in honor of them, due to the Almighty's saying: ﴿And We have certainly honored the children of Adam﴾, and the : «Breaking the bone of a dead person is like breaking it while he is alive.»
Some scholars permit the dissection of the body of a non-inviolable disbeliever for scientific necessity.
Whoever possesses bones of a Muslim must wash them, pray over them, and bury them in a pure place. If he sold any of them, he must annul the sale if possible; otherwise, he should donate its price as charity.
