What is the way to deal with repeated rejections of suitors, despite performing Istikhara and feeling uneasy, and while searching for substance rather than appearance? And should more opportunities be given to suitors?

There is no blame upon you for rejecting a suitor who is undesirable due to his unattractiveness, but what is most important in a suitor is his religiosity and character. Frequent rejection might lead to missing the opportunity for marriage. Our advice is to hasten to marry someone in whom you find competence, good character, and religious commitment, after seeking guidance from Allah (istikharah). The feeling of contentment or unease in the heart should not be solely relied upon, but rather used as a secondary consideration.
