Is it permissible to combine the Asr prayer with the Dhuhr prayer at the workplace, knowing that the time for Asr begins while leaving work, and that performing the prayer on the road daily is difficult?

If the distance you travel is 83 km or more, and you do not intend to stay for four days at your workplace, then you are permitted to combine and shorten the prayers (Dhuhr and Asr, Maghrib and Isha), either by performing them earlier (taqdeem) or later (ta'kheer). This is the view of the majority of scholars. However, you are not permitted to shorten the prayers after arriving at your permanent residence.
