What is the ruling on a girl who dislikes the hijab and fears death if she wears it, while her brothers insist on it?

The hijab is a divine obligation, a symbol of modesty and perfect manners. Obedience to it is rewarded, and its abandonment is punishable. A Muslim woman must adhere to it in obedience to Allah and His Messenger, because it is a divine command about which she has no choice, as Allah Almighty says: "And it is not for a believing man or a believing woman, when Allah and His Messenger have decided a matter, that they should [thereafter] have any choice about their affair." The sister must beware of not loving the hijab, as that could entail disliking what Allah has enjoined.
