Is it permissible to lie to one's family about symptoms of an illness for fear of scandal, mentioning similar symptoms?

Lying is permissible to achieve a benefit, or to avert harm or injustice, with a preference for using allusions (tawriyah) instead of explicit lying, based on the saying of Imran ibn Husayn: "Indeed, in the allusions of speech there is a way out from lying."
