Does slightly lifting the heel off the ground during an exaggerated rukūʿ affect the validity of the prayer and one's tranquility?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

The bowing required in Rukūʿ is the bowing of the upper part of the body, while the feet remain as they were in Qiyām (standing). It is disliked to raise the heels, or to stand on one leg, or to stick the feet together, because this is an affectation that contradicts the posture of humility (khushūʿ). However, what the questioner did by raising the heels does not invalidate the prayer nor affect its validity, and he should avoid that in the future.
