Is it permissible to pray behind a person who believes he is guaranteed Paradise due to his dutifulness to his parents?

A man who admires himself and praises himself is characterized by a blameworthy trait and is among the causes of perdition. He must be advised and reminded of his error. Prayer behind him is valid because whoever's prayer is valid for himself, his imamate is valid for others. Honoring one's parents is among the causes for entering Paradise, but it is not permissible to definitively assert that anyone will enter Paradise solely due to their good deeds.
