Is it permissible for the wife to ask for divorce and to not speak to her husband and shun him, under the pretext of his marriage to a second wife without her knowledge, knowing that he spends generously on her?

A man is not obligated to inform his wife of his marriage to another woman. His duty is to be just and treat them kindly. A man marrying a second wife is not an injustice or mistreatment. If the wife seeks divorce because her husband has forsaken her due to his marriage to another, she is sinful; for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Any woman who asks her husband for divorce without any cause, the scent of Paradise will be forbidden to her."
