Is it permissible for me to marry a man who stipulates that I live with his family, while he lives alone in another house due to his work, but his mother asked him for me to live with her under the pretext of his inability to provide us with housing?

If the woman agrees to the condition of living with the husband's mother, there is no objection to that. However, it is advisable not to rush and agree before consulting, performing Istikhara, and inquiring about the suitor's religiosity and character, as this is the most important. A righteous man honors his wife if he loves her and does not wrong her if he dislikes her. The matter should be entrusted to Allah through Istikhara to choose what is most suitable. It is better for the husband to provide his wife with independent housing separate from his family to avoid problems and preserve harmony and affection.
