What is the ruling on signatures that carry designs of pictures of Qur'ans or mosques, and which contain Quranic verses, whether they are flash or fixed?

Our hearts are saddened by the signatures we see on the internet that include immoral and immodest pictures, or forbidden songs and musical instruments. This is haram (forbidden) and is considered an aid in spreading sin. We thank the owners of impactful, Sharia-compliant signatures that carry great meanings.

It is permissible to use pictures of mosques, trees, seas, and anything without a soul, accompanied by anashid (religious songs) or poems that adhere to Sharia guidelines.

As for placing Quranic verses in signatures, there are two cases: - If intended for decoration: It should be prevented because the Quran was revealed as guidance and clarification. - If intended to remind of their meanings, especially if accompanied by listening: It is permissible and even encouraged, for it involves making the Quran heard and reminding of its meanings, as Allah says: (So remind with the Quran whoever fears My threat) [Quran 50:45]. It is preferable to change the verse periodically to vary the reminder.
