Is requesting the erasure of bad memories from one's mind considered an transgression in supplication (Du'a)?

It is advisable to occupy one's time and energy with beneficial knowledge and righteous deeds, or permissible recreation such as sports and reading. One should divert the mind by engaging in these beneficial matters and associating with righteous companions. It is known that what occurs in childhood before puberty is forgiven, and Allah does not hold a servant accountable for it. Supplicating to Allah to erase something from memory is not a forbidden transgression.
