What is the ruling on watching TV series with the intention of learning a foreign language in a non-Muslim country, while being careful to avoid music and images of women?

There is no objection to learning a language through TV series if every forbidden (Sharia-prohibited) element can be blocked. However, this is very difficult due to the frequent occurrence of images of 'awrah (parts of the body that must be covered), musical instruments (ma'azif), and forbidden speech within them. Therefore, it is advisable to seek other methods of learning, such as e-learning and multimedia.
