Does the reward for breaking a fasting person's fast accrue by offering a single date in the mosque, or does it require satisfying his hunger? Is it permissible to compel a fasting person to break his fast with specific dates in the mosque? Is the reward for breaking the fast related to the first bite? What is the ruling if the muezzins dispute over the call to prayer? Is it permissible to give preference to another in calling the Adhan, and does the one who gives preference receive the reward for the Adhan?

Whoever feeds a fasting person, even with a sip of water, will receive a reward similar to theirs. And whoever satisfies a fasting person, Allah will quench their thirst from the Prophet's Hawd (fountain) with a drink after which they will never feel thirsty again. To attain this reward, what the person offers must be the first thing the fasting person consumes at their breaking of the fast.

If two people compete to call the Adhan, the one with the better qualities is preferred for the Adhan, such as: - The one with the louder voice. - The one who is most knowledgeable of and punctual with the prayer times. - The one whom the neighbors are pleased with. - The one who is most chaste in gaze. If they are equal in all of these, then lots are drawn between them. Prioritizing someone else for the Adhan is disliked, because it is an act of worship, and prioritizing others in acts of worship is not commendable.
