The answer

The Sacred Mosque (Al-Masjid al-) is the first mosque where the Qur'an was recited aloud, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, used to recite it audibly therein. Likewise, Abdullah ibn Mas'ud was the first to recite the Qur'an aloud in the Kaaba.
