Is buying and smoking an e-cigarette permissible if it is nicotine-free?

Electronic cigarettes are forbidden because they contain nicotine, and one must verify that they are free of it. The cure for frustration when not getting what one desires is to supplicate and seek help from Allah, and to be certain that whoever gives up something for Allah, Allah will compensate him with something better, as stated in the noble Hadith: "Indeed, you will not abandon anything for Allah - the Mighty and Majestic - except that Allah will replace it with something better for you." In addition, one should remember the pleasure of conquering one's desires.
