What is the ruling of the Sharia on invoking evil upon one's husband and what is its expiation?

It is permissible for the oppressed to supplicate against their oppressor without exceeding the limits in their supplication, based on the words of Allah the Almighty: (Allah does not like the public utterance of evil, except by one who has been wronged), and the words of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: (There are three supplications that are answered without a doubt: the supplication of the oppressed). Nevertheless, forgiveness is closer to piety and more beloved to Allah, as Allah the Almighty says: (So whoever pardons and makes reconciliation - his reward is due from Allah). Forgiveness is especially appropriate between relatives and spouses, and supplicating for the oppressor's rectification and guidance may be more beneficial. If the supplication involved transgression, then the supplicator must apologize to the one against whom the transgression was made if the supplication reached them; otherwise, they should supplicate for them and seek forgiveness for them.
