What is the meaning of: "more absolving for one's conscience and more safeguarding for one's religion"? May Allah reward you.

The two phrases "أبرأ للذمة" (better to clear one's conscience/liability) and "أحوط للدين" (more cautious for one's religion) share the same meaning. They both encourage doing what is safest for one's religion and closest to piety. "Dhimma" (conscience/liability) is a conceptual matter, where the object of sale and similar transactions are as if contained within a vessel. "أبرأ للذمة" means to keep it furthest from becoming entangled with rights. "أحوط للدين" means to be more cautious regarding it. Scholars use this style to encourage precaution in religious matters, such as the statement by Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen that circumambulating the Kaaba in a state of purity is "better, more cautious, and better to clear one's conscience," and that acting upon what is apparent is "more cautious, better to clear one's conscience, and stronger in worship."
