Is it permissible to purchase a car in installments through the bank that owns it until the full price is paid?

It is permissible for the bank to purchase the car for itself and then sell it to you at a profit; this is a lawful sale. However, if the bank does not purchase the car, but instead pays its price to the sales office and then collects it from you with an increase, then this is a prohibited usurious transaction; based on the words of Allah Almighty: {O you who have believed, fear Allah and give up what remains [due to you] of interest, if you should be believers. And if you do not, then be informed of a war [against you] from Allah and His Messenger. But if you repent, you may have your principal – [thus] you do no wrong, nor are you wronged}, and the words of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "Allah Almighty has cursed the devourer of usury, its feeder, and its two witnesses."
