Is it permissible to give the money for the hady (sacrificial animal) to the campaign supervisor so that he may slaughter the hady in Egypt? And if it is not permissible, what must I do?
The sacrifice of a Hady for Tamattu' or Qiran is not valid unless performed within the Sacred Precinct (Haram), whether in Mecca, Mina, or any part of the Haram, due to the Almighty's saying: "then its place of sacrifice is the Ancient House," and the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "I sacrificed here, and all of Mina is a place of sacrifice." If you were performing Tamattu' or Qiran and sacrificed your Hady in Egypt, another Hady becomes obligatory upon you. You can appoint someone to slaughter it and distribute it among the poor of the Haram.
