What is the ruling on our saying: "Build your future yourself"? "Rely on yourself"?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

There is no harm in saying, "Rely on yourself," especially if it comes from a Muslim, and the intended meaning is self-reliance in learning and working without depending on others. This aligns with the Hadith: "The strong believer is better and more beloved to Allah than the weak believer." A Muslim must rely first and foremost on Allah Almighty and put their trust in Him, and then rely on themselves by undertaking the means, while being mindful that these means are effective only with Allah's permission.
