The blood money (diyah) of a deceased father is distributed like an inheritance among all heirs according to their legally prescribed shares. This includes any rooms constructed from the diyah. If the heirs are limited to the mother and children, the mother receives one-eighth if she was his wife, and the remainder goes to the sons and daughters, with the male receiving the share of two females, unless the adult heirs waive their right. Issues related to inheritances must be brought before the Sharia courts for investigation and to ensure there are no wills, debts, or other rights that take precedence over the heirs' rights.
