The Kaaba will be destroyed by a man from Abyssinia named "Dhu al-Suwayqatayn" (the one with the two small shins), at the end of time, shortly before the Hour, when the earth will be devoid of monotheists. This will occur after the appearance of the Mahdi and the descent of Jesus (peace be upon him), and after Muslims have experienced a period of strength and victory. This is supported by the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Dhu al-Suwayqatayn from Abyssinia will destroy the Kaaba." This does not contradict Makkah being a safe sanctuary, because the destruction will happen near the advent of the Hour when there will be no one left to say "Allah, Allah."
