What is the ruling on acting upon a fatwa that permits a fasting person to swallow saliva that has exited the mouth and then re-entered it, whether the obsessive whispering (waswasah) persists or has ceased? And is there sin or an obligation to re-fast for one who forgets that this falls under blameworthy seeking of concessions (tatabbu' al-rukhas) and continues to act upon it after the cessation of the obsessive whispering?
If the fasting person suffers from obsessive whispers (waswasa), he should act according to Fatwa no. 137003. This is not considered blameworthy seeking out of concessions (tatabbu' al-rukhas). Whoever is afflicted with waswasa should strive to turn away from it and not pay attention to it.
