Are the circulating narrations true which promise that 70,000 angels will pray for whoever recites certain verses from Surat Al-Hashr, and that whoever says "Subhan Allah wa bihamdihi adada khalqihi wa rida nafsihi wa zinata arshihi wa midada kalimatihi" (Glory be to Allah and with His praise, as many times as the number of His creatures, as much as pleases Him, as much as the weight of His Throne, and as much as the ink of His words) will die as a martyr, and that whoever says "Alhamdulillah alladhi tawadaa kullu shay'in liazmatihi..." (All praise is due to Allah, before whose greatness everything humbles itself...) will have angels enlisted to seek forgiveness for him until the Day of Judgment?

The hadiths that mention that whoever seeks refuge with Allah three times and recites the last verses of Al-Hashr, or says, "Praise be to Allah, before Whose greatness everything humbles itself..." will have seventy thousand angels pray for their forgiveness, or will die as a martyr, are weak hadiths. Nevertheless, the dhikr "Subhan Allah wa bihamdihi adada khalqihi..." (Glory be to Allah and praise be to Him, as many times as the number of His creation...) is authentically reported from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and its reward is immense. As for the supplication "Allahumma irham al-mu'minin..." (O Allah, have mercy on the believing men and women...), it was not reported with this specific wording, but there are encouragements to seek forgiveness for believers in general, such as the Almighty's saying: "And ask forgiveness for your sin and for the believing men and believing women," and his, peace and blessings be upon him, saying: "Whoever seeks forgiveness for the believing men and believing women, Allah will record a good deed for him for every believing man and woman."
