A righteous vision is from Allah and among the glad tidings; it is a part of prophethood. What a Muslim sees in his dream that is pleasant and comes true is good news for him. As for what a Muslim anticipates while awake and it occurs as he expected, this is a form of inspiration. There were "muhaddathun" (inspired individuals) in previous nations, and if there is anyone among them in this nation, it is 'Umar ibn al-Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him.
