What is the religious ruling on a friend shunning me because I said, "Everyone who possesses information must share it with others and should not conceal it"?

Your friend has been good to you by helping you find a job, and you have done well by apologizing to him. As long as you have apologized, you have fulfilled your duty, and the best of those who have forsaken each other is the one who initiates the greeting of peace. Try to mend what has been broken between you and him by supplicating for him, and by asking one of the trustworthy brothers to reconcile between you. Remind your friend of the virtue of forgiveness, and warn him of the consequences of estrangement. If attempts at reconciliation are unsuccessful, then it is not your fault, for Allah does not burden a soul beyond its capacity.
