How can I determine which of the two situations applies to me, based on Fatwa No. 22055?

No one is safe from these whispers and thoughts. A person's repulsion towards them is a sign of faith. What is required is to desist from them and not to indulge in them, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The people will continue to question until it is said: 'This is Allah who created the creation, so who created Allah?' Whoever experiences anything of that, let him say: 'I believe in Allah.'" In another narration: "Let him seek refuge with Allah and desist." It is also advisable to read the Quran with contemplation and to occupy one's time with what benefits them in this world and the Hereafter.
