Does Islam permit diagnostic tests performed on a woman at the beginning of pregnancy with the aim of aborting a fetus suffering from severe disabilities in the nineteenth week of pregnancy?

It is permissible to abort the fetus under certain conditions, including that it must be before the ensoulment (i.e., before four months), and that there is a necessity for it, such as the discovery of disabilities or deformities, or a danger to the mother. However, it should be noted that doctors' reports may be inaccurate, that some deficiencies in the newborn may be compensated for in the future, and that patiently caring for a deformed newborn is rewarded by Allah.
