What is the reason for people shunning a committed young man who is a memorizer of the Qur’an, despite his kind nature and his attempts to form friendships, and what is the way out of this isolation?
Reassure the questioner that his problem stems from a mistaken perception that society rejects him, and that people's nature inclines towards goodness and good character.
Advise the following:
1. Completely forget the past.
2. Approach the days with optimism and good faith in Allah.
3. Have good thoughts about people and abandon obsessive thoughts.
4. Avoid excessive sensitivity and find excuses for others.
5. Avoid introversion and approach people with an open heart.
6. Deal with people from a position of wisdom and be keen to draw close to them, endure their harms, and forgive those who wrong them.
7. Get to know people with the aim of Da'wah (inviting to Islam) and Islamic brotherhood.
8. Do not neglect recreational aspects with people.
9. Only associate with people of religion and good character.
10. Smile frequently.
11. Understand the reasons behind negative situations and discuss them.
12. Seek help from the Qur'an, , Adhkar (remembrance of Allah), and al-Layl (night prayers).
Finally, recommend reading the book "Mudārāt al-Nās" (Dealing Kindly with People) by Ibn Abi al-Dunya, and mention that the Salaf advised forgiving people and enduring their actions.
