The book "Al-Ibda' fi Madarr al-Ibtida'" (Creativity in the Harms of Innovation) by Sheikh Ali Mahfouz is one of the greatest books that elucidated the principles and branches of innovations (bid'ah). It comprises two sections: the first on the principles, types, and rulings of innovations, and the second on clarifying the branches of innovations and newly invented matters that have been added to Islam.
