How did the hypocrites say "Messenger of Allah" while they did not believe in his message or in him, as stated in the verse: "They are the ones who say, 'Do not spend on those who are with the Messenger of Allah until they disband'"?

It is not surprising that the hypocrites uttered the phrase "Messenger of Allah" while disbelieving in his message, because they outwardly show affirmation to him but inwardly conceal disbelief. This is as stated in the Almighty's saying: "When the hypocrites come to you, they say, 'We bear witness that you are the Messenger of Allah.' And Allah knows that you are His Messenger, and Allah bears witness that the hypocrites are liars." (Quran 63:1). They say this to deceive the Muslims. Another possibility is that they did not utter the phrase "Messenger of Allah," but rather said: "Do not spend on those with Muhammad until they disperse," but the narrator of the report used the phrase "Messenger of Allah." However, the first interpretation is more probable due to the consistency of the narrations in using the phrase "Messenger of Allah."
