What are the Shariah rulings for wedding celebrations, such as the bride going to the hairdresser, the ruling on thinning eyebrows, sitting on the "koshah" (bridal platform) in front of people, and the bridal couple taking photographs and hanging them on the wall?

The basic ruling regarding a woman going to a beauty salon to prepare for marriage is permissibility, provided that those who adorn her are women and no men see her. However, it is not advisable to do so now due to the possibility of her being photographed.

It is better for her female relatives to adorn her, or for a trustworthy beautician to come to her home, while being careful not to expose the major 'awrah (intimate parts), as a woman's 'awrah in front of another woman is from the navel to the knee.

Adornment is permissible within reasonable limits, without extravagance.

It is not permissible to thin the eyebrows (namṣ), and this is one of the major sins.

It is not permissible to sit on the "kosha" (wedding stage) due to the presence of the husband (groom) among adorned women and his hearing their singing.

It is not permissible for the bride and groom to go to a studio to take commemorative photos, as this involves the exposure of 'awrah and men seeing them during developing, or their dissemination by female workers.

It is not permissible to hang photographic pictures of the couple on the wall for visitors to see, especially if the bride is in her adornment.
