Does the word "gate" in the noble Prophetic Hadith symbolize "path," and how many paths currently lead to Medina?

The Hadith inquired about by the questioner was narrated by Al-Bukhari from Abu Bakra, may Allah be pleased with him, who reported that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The terror of the Masih Ad-Dajjal will not enter Medina, and on that day, it will have seven gates, and at each gate, there will be two angels."

It has also been narrated in the Hadith of Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Angels are stationed at the approaches of Medina; neither plague nor Dajjal will enter it."

The "approaches" (anqab) refer to the entrances and roads. It is possible that Medina will have gates in the future, or that the intended meaning of "gates" is the main entrances, or that the angels assigned to guard it cover seven directions, and a direction is referred to as a gate.
