What should you do with your friend who falsely accused you of having an affair with her husband and spread the news among friends?

A Muslim's honor is inviolable by law, and it is impermissible to falsely accuse them. Whoever does so has transgressed against the right of a Muslim. If the accusation is of committing indecency, then the accused has the right to demand the application of the punishment for slander against the accuser, based on the Almighty's saying: "And those who accuse chaste women and then do not produce four witnesses - lash them with eighty lashes and never accept their testimony thereafter. And those are the defiantly disobedient." However, it is preferable to pardon and repel evil with good.
