Is the animosity between us and our neighbors considered an impediment to the acceptance of our deeds, especially since we avoid them for fear of problems, knowing full well that we bear no malice or resentment, even though we do not forget their injustice towards us?

The Sharia has forbidden abandonment and turning away from one another for more than three days, based on the saying of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him): "Do not hate one another, and do not envy one another, and do not turn away from one another. Be, O servants of Allah, brothers. It is not lawful for a Muslim to abandon his brother for more than three days."

However, abandonment for more than three days is permissible if it leads to harm in religious or worldly matters that cannot be removed except by abandonment.

Abandonment, according to the majority of scholars, ceases upon merely extending or returning a greeting. If you abandon hostility and quarreling from your side, then the warning for those who quarrel does not apply to you.
