Is it permissible to delay the throwing of the pebbles at Jamrat al-Aqaba al-Kubra on the day of Eid until night?

The best time to throw the Aqabah jamrah is after sunrise on the Day of Sacrifice. However, if the throwing is delayed until night, scholars differ on its validity. Some permit it, citing the hadith (definition) "Throw, and there is no blame," while others do not permit it except on the following day. Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen holds the view that throwing at night is permissible if it was not possible during the day, or if night was easier and more reassuring, because the virtue related to the essence of the worship is more deserving of consideration than that related to its time.
