The answer

There is no harm in the salary continuing to be deposited in the National Bank (Al-Ahli Bank) because it is moving towards becoming an Islamic bank. Transferring it to Bank Albilad is better. It is permissible to work in Islamic banks like Al-Rajhi and Albilad, and in banks that are transforming into Islamic banks like AlJazira and Al-Ahli, provided one adheres to the decisions of the Board. It is not permissible to work in an interest-based (riba-based) bank. For someone who is compelled to open an account in an interest-based bank, there is no harm, but they should only deposit their salary therein and not accept arbitration by anything other than Sharia.
