Does a divorce, issued with the intention of consulting with Al-Sha'rawi, during menstruation, under family pressure, and based on the fatwas of a shaykh close to the family—who cited disputed prophetic hadiths and jurisprudential opinions—on the pretext that the wife is non-Arab, a new convert to Islam, and not approved by the parents, take effect?

Divorcing a menstruating woman is impermissible, yet it is valid according to the majority of scholars, and this is the correct view. We advise the questioner to obey his mother and the desire of his family not to return to the woman. If their statements are true, then he has been spared her evil; and if they are not true, there are many other women. Prioritizing the wishes of the mother and family is more appropriate, and perhaps Allah will compensate him with someone better than her.
